Leroy Joseph LeBoeuf, Sr., 76,a native of Houma, LA and a resident of Gray, LA died Thursday, October 7, 2010 at 1:40 AM. Visitation will be Sunday, October 10, 2010 from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM Chauvin Funeral Home, Inc. and Monday, October 11, 2010 from 9:00 AM until service time at St. Louis Catholic Church. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, October 11, 2010 at St. Louis Catholic Church, with burial in St. Francis de Sales Cemetery #2. He is survived by his wife of 55 years,Wilma Mae Pitre LeBoeuf; children, Glenn LeBoeuf Sr. and wife Shirley of Gray, LA; Jennifer Lindsay and husband Mark of Hattiesburg, MS; Peggy Breaux and husband Lance of Houma, LA; Lee Roy, LeBoeuf Jr. and wife Foxy, of Houma, LA; Nolon LeBoeuf Sr., and wife Tina of Gibson, LA, and Nancy LeBoeuf and fiance' Scott McCoy of Houma, LA; 13 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; sister, Hazel LeBoeuf Ellender of Houma, LA; brothers, John Robert LeBoeuf, Sr. of Houma and Emile P. LeBoeuf, Jr. and wife Christine. He is preceded in death by his parents, Emile "Jim" Paul LeBoeuf, Sr and Flavia Trahan LeBoeuf; brother, Huey P. LeBoeuf, Sr and Russell LeBoeuf; brother-in-law, Arthur "Tony" Ellender. He was a parishioner of St. Louis Catholic Church. Leroy was a dedicated husband and father.He loved family gatherings. He was a people person who never met a stranger. He loved hunting and fishing. He enjoyed farming and taking care of his animals including his horses, cattle and dogs. He worked as a deputy under Sheriff Rozands. He was also a volunteer firefighter. He was a welder in the oil industry most of his life.
