Thaddeus Joseph Martin, 87, a native of Chauvin, LA and a resident of Houma, LA died Wednesday, October 6, 2010 at 6:27 PM. Visitation will be Saturday, October 9, 2010 from 9:00 a.m. until service time at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, October 9, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church with burial in Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Cemetery. He is survived by his wife, Elma Naquin Martin; daughter, Donna Redmond and husband Marvin Redmond; sons, Larry Martin, Danny Martin; daughter in law, Cynthia Martin; grandchildren, Tanya Colee, Tara Auer, Monica Holloway, Jessica Martin, Ryan Martin, Becky Chapman, Vicky Redmond; great grandchildren, Amber Colee and Kyle Holloway; brother, Percy Martin. He is preceded in death by parents, Eddie Martin and Julia Lapeyrouse Martin; son, Terry Martin; brothers, Harris Martin, Alvin Martin, Julius Martin and Lucius Martin; sisters, Sylvia Authement, Beulah Griffin, Pearl Boudreaux. He was a boat contractor. Thaddeus was a member of the East Park Volunteer Fire Department and a fourth degree Knights of Columbus member. He was a parishioner of Our lady of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church where he was an usher.
