Abraham Joseph Griffin,76,died Sunday, October 3, 2010. Mr. Griffin was a native of Golden Meadow, LA and a Chauvin, LA. Visitation will be Wednesday, October 6, 2010 from 9:00 AM until service time at St. Joseph Catholic Church. A Mass of Christian burial will be Wednesday, October 6, 2010 at 11:00 AM at St. Joseph Catholic Church wioth burial in St. Joseph Catholic Church Cemetery. Survived by his wife of 55 years, Mary Ann Landry Griffin; daughters, Elizabeth Fuselier, Melanie Soudelier and husband Jerome, Kayla Dupre and husband Barry; brother, Earl Griffin; 5 grandchildren,Darrel Trahan, Jr, Tiffany Soudelier, Mandi Trahan Pellegrin, Jade Dupre and Paul Dupre; and 1 great grandchild, Emily Trahan. He was preceded in death by his parents, Pierre Abraham Griffin and Louise Guidry Griffin; son, Brent Griffin and sister, Emma Lois Prince. Abraham was a member of St. Joseph Knights of Columbus 5013 He was a Past Grand Knight and he was also Bingo Chairman for 20 years. Mr. Griffin was also a member of Rev. Patrick V. Curran Assembly 2214, he was a Past Faithful Navigator. He was a member of the St. Joseph Council where he was the Cemetery Chairman. Abraham was a lifetime member of the Ward 7 Citizen's Club. He was a volunteer for Toys for Tots and Lagniappe on the Bayou. He was a faithful Saints and LSU fan. He loved gardening. He was a loving husband and a great provider. He loved all of his children and was very proud of his grandchildren and great grandchild and all of their accomplishments.
