Marie Antoinette Dean, 94, a native of Terrebonne Parish, LA and a resident of Dulac, LA diedThursday, September 23, 2010 at 9:01 PM.
Visitation will be Sunday, September 26, 2010 from 3:00 PM until 9:00 PM Chauvin Funeral Home, Inc. and Monday, September 27, 2010 from 9:00 AM until service time at Holy Family Catholic Church.
Mass will be Monday, September 27, 2010 at 11:00 AM at Holy Family Catholic Church with burial in
Holy Family Catholic Church Cemetery.
She is survived by her,
daughter, Rose Pierre and husband Curtis "Wink" Pierre of Houma, LA;
son, Joseph "Joe" and wife Brenda of Dulac, LA and Ross and wife Aline of Houma, LA;
step son, John Dean of Houma, LA and
step daughter, Eva May Gregoire of Dulac, LA;
21 Grandchildren, 33 Great Grandchildren, and 7 Great great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her
husband, Clarence Joseph Dean;
parents, Joseph Billiot and Josephine Lodrigue Billiot;
daughter, Marie Falgout;
sons, Wilbert and Albert Dean;
step daughter, Wilda Verdin;
step son, Ivy Dean;
brothers: Sidney, Lawrence, Whitney, and Antoine Billiot
Sisters: Florentine Billiot, Feliciana Dion, Felicie Guidry and Marie Lea Verdin;
grandchildren, Junius Falgout, Michael Falgout, Mark Falgout, Joseph Clarence, Jr and Alexis Dean and great grand daughter, Kristi Lee Kieff.
She was a parishioner of Holy Family Catholic Church.
She was a homemaker and a parishioner of Holy Family Catholic church.
She was well known for her moss dolls and palmetto basket weaving. Her baskets and moss dolls are on display in the Smithsonian Institute in Washington, DC.
She will be truly missed by all and she was well loved by everyone.
