Norman Paul DarDar Jr., a Native of Houma, LA and Resident of Chauvin, LA.
died Friday September 17, 2010.
Mr. DarDar was born in Houma, LA and a lifelong resident of South Louisiana. Mr. DarDar spent the majority of his life as a commercial fisherman and working throughout the Gulf Region. At 16 Mr. DarDar’s father (Man DarDar) helped him purchase his first oyster boat where they fished throughout Texas and Louisiana “tying up’ to eat and count the mornings catch. In recent years Mr. DarDar spent many days with his good friend Todd Fanguy in their marsh restoration projects throughout Chauvin.
Mr. DarDar is survived by his beloved Mother Mary Domangue and his sons Norman Paul DarDar III and Davin Paul DarDar. He is also survived by his dear brother Kerry Paul Gregory, sisters Melissa “Sis’ Foret, Lynn Dupree and many good friends, including Susan and Terry DarDar.
He was preceded in death by his father Norman Paul DarDar Sr. and his brother Deb Gregoire.
Visitation will be from 6 P.M. until 9 P.M Tuesday at Chauvin Funeral Home 5899 Highway 311 Houma, LA 70360. A private interment will be held Wednesday in Point-Aux Chenes , LA.

Mr. DarDar was a parishioner of St. Joesph and a member of the United Houma Nation.
