Josephine Fonseca

Josephine Gautreaux Fonseca, 84, a native of Cut Off, LA and a resident of Houma, LA died Wednesday, September 15, 2010 at 11:13 PM. Visitation will be Friday, September 17, 2010 from 6:00 pm to 10:00pm Chauvin Funeral Home, Inc. and Saturday, September 18, 2010 from 9:00am to service time at Chauvin Funeral Home, Inc. Funeral services will be Saturday, September 18, 2010 at 12:00 pm at Chauvin Funeral Home, Inc. with burial in St. Francis de Sales Cemetery #2. She is survived by her sons, Ronald "Fon" Fonseca and wife Tania of Houma LA; Robert "Neggie" Fonseca and wife Gayle of Houma LA; Larry Fonseca and wife Loraine "Cochie" Fonseca of Houma LA; and Eric Fonseca and wife Connie Fonseca of Houma LA; daughters, Cathy Fonseca Authement and Lenny of Houma LA; and daughter in law, Betty Fonseca of Houma LA; Grandchildren: 13, Great Grandchildren 19 and Great Great Grandchildren: 8. Preceded in death by her parents, Emile Gautreaux and Amy Chaisson Gautreaux; husband, Claude Fonseca, Sr. and son, Claude "Johnny" Fonseca, Jr. and sister, Bernice Gautreaux Vedros. She was a parishioner of Maria Immaculata Catholic Church. She loved to work in the garden with her flowers. She loved her family, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Everyone who knew her loved her and she will be sadly missed.
