Merlin Joseph Guidry, 85, a native of Lafayette, LA and a resident of Houma, LA died Sunday, September 12, 2010 at 12:33 AM. Visitation will be Tuesday, September 14, 2010 from 9:00 am until service time at St. Bernadette Soubirous Catholic Church. A Mass of Chrisitian burial will be Tuesday, September 14, 2010 at 12:00pm at St. Bernadette Soubirous Catholic Church, with burial in St. Francis de Sales #2 Cemetery. He is survived by his spouse, Hazel Guidry Guidry of Houma, LA; Sisters, Dorothy Rousselle and late husband Wilbert Rousselle of Luling LA; Step Daughter, Faith Breaux and husband Randy Breaux of Youngsville LA; and 2 step grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his Parents, Alcee Guidry and Marie Bertrand Guidry; Brothers, Murphy Guidry and Mike Guidry; Sisters, Florence Clements, Odette Donnell, Ramona Guidry and Evelyn LeBlanc. He was a Professional Aircraft Pilot and caretaker at St. Bernadette Soubirous Catholic Church.
