Conrad Joseph Lirette, 99 resident of Bayou Black died peacefully at home on Monday, August 16, 2010 at 3:20 PM
Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 19, 2010 from 9:00 a.m. until service time at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church.
Mass of Christian Burial will be on Thursday, August 19, 2010 at 12:00 p.m.at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church with burial following at Bayou Black Cemetery.
Conrad was the devoted and loving father of three daughters Constance "Connie" Casente, Mary Elizabeth Lirette (Vest), Alexis Hellman, wife of Stephen Hellman, MD, and step-father of Celester J. Brien. He is survived by 11 grandchildren, Sal Casente, Jr., Mary Catherine Glass, Lisa Hebert, Susan Connick, Arlen Vest, Derek Vest, Tara Vest, Daniel Hellman, John Hellman, Stephen Hellman and Alexander Hellman and step Grandchildren, Shane Brien, Brian Brien, Aimee Johnson, Al Jean Lirette, Gary Paul Lirette and Jack Lirette; 17 Great Grandchildren, 1 Great Great Grandchild. The oldest of eleven children he is survived by Reggie Lirette, Sr., Shirley Thibodeaux and Dale Lirette of Houma, Charles Elliot Lirette of Moon, VA and Murray Lirette of Slidell, LA and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Sadie Tregre Lirette, his first wife Bertha Mey Baldwin, his parents Alexander and Edith Prejean Lirette, step son Jean Mey Lirette, son-in-law Sal Casente, MD, and two grandchildren Gina Maria and Mary Elizabeth Casente, brothers Alexander and Raymond Lirette and sisters Edith Lirette, Marion Russell and Elizabeth Dawson.
The family would like to acknowledge his devoted care givers, Vera Landry, Janice McGuin, Debra Vasquez and Tina Dardar.
