Urbain Joseph Fournier, 88, a native and resident of Houma, LA died Thursday, August 5, 2010 at 4:05 PM.
Visitation will be Saturday, August 7, 2010 from 9:00 a.m. until service time at Chauvin Funeral Home, Inc.
Liturgy of the Word will be at 11:00 a.m. at Chauvin Funeral Home, Inc. with burial in St. Louis Catholic Cemetery.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Theresa Rodrigue Fournier;
sons, Brian Joseph Fournier and Dean Paul Fournier and wife Denise;
daughters, Wanda Babin and husband Daniel, Claire Melancon and husband Matt, Tammy Boquet and husband Bob, Julie Moss and husband Larry; brothers, Russell Fournier, George Fournier, Elmer Fournier, Daniel Fournier;
sisters, Georgia Hebert and Barbara White; eighteen grandchildren; three great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Onezip Fournier and Clemence Breaux Fournier;
brothers, Louis Fournier and Onezip Fournier.
He worked for Superior Oil Company for thirty years then went into business for himself opening Houma Saltwater and Disposal.
He was a parishioner of St. Louis Catholic Church.
He served in the Navy during World War II.
