David Dishman

David L. Dishman, 64, a native and resident of Houma, LA died Friday, July 23, 2010 at 3:20 PM. Visitation will be Sunday, July 25, 2010 from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Chauvin Funeral Home, Inc. Monday, July 26, 2010 from Visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m. with a prayer service being held at 11:00 a.m. by Pastor Chapman of Christ Baptist Church. Visitation will continue until 1:30 p.m. at at Chauvin Funeral Home, Inc. Funeral Mass will be Monday, July 26, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Eloi Catholic Church with burial in St. Eloi Catholic Church Cemetery. He is survived by his wife of 22 years, Dorothy Champagne Dishman, of Houma, LA; three biological daughters, Melanie Dishman Potter, Valerie Dishman Hopkins, and Christina Dishman; four other daughters, Christy Price Domingue, Dawn Eastin Terracina, Kathy Eastin Mooring and Teresa Eastin Huffaker; one son, John Price, II; brothers, James M. Dishman and wife Catherine, Robert "Bob" A. Dishman, and Gerald "Jerry" P. Dishman and wife Wanda; sisters, Margaret D. Lapeyrouse and husband Lanny, Mary D. Giles and husband Fred and Susan J. Dishman and Elaine M. Dishman; several grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, John Sullinger Dishman, Sr. and Annie Laura Fabregas Dishman; brothers, Leon Philip Dishman and John "Sonny" Dishman, Jr.; sisters, Elsie D. Falgout and Annie Laura D. Boudreaux; grandparents, Martin Leo and Annie Laura Chauvin Fabregas and James and Elsie Lowe Dishman. He was President and General Manager of Dishman and Bennett Specialty Co., Inc. He was a parishioner of St. Eloi Catholic Church. He was an organ donor. He is a 1965 graduate of South Terrebonne High School. He will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by all who's lives he touched.
