Olga Bertrand Simon, 88 died Tuesday, July 20, 2010 at 6:39 PM. She was a native of Pecan Island, LA and resident of Gibson, LA. Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 22, 2010 from 4:00pm to 9:00 pm Chauvin Funeral Home, Inc. and Friday, July 23, 2010 from 9:00 am to 11:00 am Mass Time at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church. Service will be on Friday, July 23, 2010 at 11:00 AM Mass Time at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church with burial at Bayou Black cemetery. She is survived by her son, Rodney Lee and wife Joyce Miller of Gibson LA and daughters Judy Ann Miller of Gibson, LA and Betty and husband Joe Veillon of Pineville LA.11 Grandchildren, 40 Great Grandchildren, 17 Great Great Grandchildren. She is also survived by first husband Doris Miller. She was preceded in death by her spouse, Pierre Simon, parents, Numa Mitchell Bertrand and Sarah Hardin Bertrand, eight brothers,seven sisters and three great grandchildren. She was a parishioner of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church.
