Irene Theriot Dupre, 94, a native of Theriot, Louisiana and a resident of Houma, died at 5:00 a.m. Friday, July 2, 2010 peacefully, surrounded by her family.
Visitation will be Saturday, July 3, 2010 from 9:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at Chauvin Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be held at 12:30 p.m. at St. Gregory Barbarigo Catholic Church with burial in St. Francis No. 2.
She is survived by six children:
Camile Dupre, Jr., and wife Betty; Jerry Dupre and wife Charlene; Joan Blake and husband Charles; Carolyn Teuton and husband Jeff; Linda Garibaldi and husband Wayne; Sandra Hebert and husband Morris; all of Houma.
Two sisters; Marie Theriot and Rita Theriot Bergeron.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 70 years, Camile Dupre, Sr.; one infant son; Joseph and one granddaughter, Connie Dupre Mire; her parents; Lexington and Alida Champagne Theriot; one brother, Isaac Theriot; two sisters, Corrine Naquin and Rose Champagne.
Irene was a wonderful and loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great great grandmother. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, needlework and working in her flower bed. Fishing at the camp was also a favorite. She most of all enjoyed her family.
