Irene Theriot Dupre, 94, a native of Theriot, Louisiana and a resident of Houma, died at 5:00 a.m. Friday, July 2, 2010 peacefully, surrounded by her family. Visitation will be Saturday, July 3, 2010 from 9:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at Chauvin Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be held at 12:30 p.m. at St. Gregory Barbarigo Catholic Church with burial in St. Francis No. 2. She is survived by six children: Camile Dupre, Jr., and wife Betty; Jerry Dupre and wife Charlene; Joan Blake and husband Charles; Carolyn Teuton and husband Jeff; Linda Garibaldi and husband Wayne; Sandra Hebert and husband Morris; all of Houma. Two sisters; Marie Theriot and Rita Theriot Bergeron. 22 Grandchildren: Gwen and husband Greg Eaton, David and wife Angie Dupre; Diane and husband Mike Fitzgerald; Darlene and husband Gilbert Buquet; Daniel and wife Eldine Dupre; Ronda and husband Bill Reilly; Julie Hebert and Darren LeBlanc; Christie and husband Chad Simon, MD; Terez and husband Daniel LeBlanc; Dom and wife Michelle Dupre; Bridgette and husband Jason Domangue; Frank and wife Stacie Teuton; Margaret and husband Keil Moss; Carol Tueton Benoit; Joseph Teuton and fiancé Courtney Cantrelle; Dawn and husband Randy Bernard; Barry Garibaldi; Alex Garibaldi; Brian and wife Kate Hebert ; John and wife Kellie Hebert; Amie and husband Ed Bice and Andrea and husband Phil Olivier; 45 great grandchildren 8 great great grandchildren 2 step grandchildren 1 step great grandson Numerous Nieces and Nephews She is preceded in death by her husband of 70 years, Camile Dupre, Sr.; one infant son; Joseph and one granddaughter, Connie Dupre Mire; her parents; Lexington and Alida Champagne Theriot; one brother, Isaac Theriot; two sisters, Corrine Naquin and Rose Champagne. Irene was a wonderful and loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great great grandmother. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, needlework and working in her flower bed. Fishing at the camp was also a favorite. She most of all enjoyed her family. The family would also like to recognize her dedicated caregivers; Melissa Eklund, Marie Boudreaux, Nicole Sanderford, the Council on Aging, The Medical Team and Hospice of South Louisiana and Dr. Russell Henry.
