Shirley Ann McIlveene Trussell

Shirley Ann McIlveene Trussell, 71, a resident of Houma, died at 2:48 p.m. Friday, Oct. 6, 2006. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday and from 8 a.m. to funeral time Tuesday at Chauvin Funeral Home. Religious service will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery. She is survived by her husband, James Allen Trussell of Houma; three sons, Kirk Trussell and wife, Julie, of Houma, Guy Trussell and wife, Annette of Florida and Ricky Trussell and wife, Ellen, of Massachusetts; one brother, Love McIlveene of Texas; one sister, Charlene McIlveene; and six grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Garland and Margaret Smart McIlveene; and one son, Kerry Trussell. She was a retired school teacher of 35 years at Lisa Park School. She was treasurer for 19 years and past queen for Krewe of Aphrodites.
