Merline Monica Duplantis, 67, a native and resident of Houma, LA died Tuesday, June 15, 2010 at 6:00 PM. Visitation will be Wednesday, June 16, 2010 from 5:00pm to 9:00pm Chauvin Funeral Home, Inc. and Thursday, June 17, 2010 from 8:30am to 11:00am at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday, June 17, 2010 at 11:00AM Mass Time at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Cemetery with burial in Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Cemetery. She is survived by her husband, Camille Duplantis Sr of Houma LA; Sons: Keenan LaJaunie and wife Karen of Houma LA and Glen LaJaunie and wife Ellyn of Houma LA; daughters, Melinda LeBoeuf and husband Cecil of Houma LA and brothers,Ronald Deroche and wife Carmen of Youngsville LA, Eugene "Gene" Deroche and wife Diane of Houma LA and Lucius "Jay" Deroche Jr and companion Kendra of Houma LA; and Rodney Deroche and wife Heather of Houma LA; sister, Elvina Gros and husband Mark of Bayou Blue LA; 9 gGrandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, Lucius Joseph Deroche Sr and Lillian Cunningham Deroche; and first husband, Raymond LaJaunie. She was a parishioner of Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church.
