Hilda Josephine Chaisson Naquin

Hilda Josephine Chaisson Naquin, 86, a native and resident of Montegut, died at 1:15 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 27, 2006. Visitation will be from 4 to 10 p.m. Friday and from 8 a.m. to funeral time Saturday at Chauvin Funeral Home. Religious service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home chapel, with burial in Terrebonne Memorial Park Cemetery. She is survived by five sons, Robert Naquin Sr. and wife, Diana, Richard Naquin Sr. and wife, Mary, Francis Naquin Jr. and former wife, Barbara, of Houma, Roland Naquin and wife, Theresa, of Montegut and Ray Naquin of Tennessee; seven daughters, Anne Smith and husband, Chester Sr., of Abbeville, Hazel Bergeron and husband, Paul, Helen Duplantis and husband, Mark Sr., of Houma, Florence Hotard and husband, Eldred Sr., Betty Naquin of Montegut, Yvonne Bergeron and husband, Stanley Sr., of Des Allemands and Karen Nelton and husband, Steven Sr. of Chauvin; two brothers, Charlie Chaisson of Harahan and Michal Chaisson of Bourg; one sister, Justine Parfait of Harahan; 50 grandchildren; 100 great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Francis Edwin Naquin Sr.; her parents, Alexis Chaisson and Eugenie Hotard Chaisson; one daughter, Wilda Naquin; two grandsons, Peter Bergeron and Lance Bergeron; two great-granddaughters, Ashley Smith and Brandi Nettleton; two brothers, Daniel and John Chaisson; and three sisters, Magnolia Billiot, Leorena Chaisson and Bernice Naquin. She was a homemaker and a member of Montegut Baptist Church.
