Olive Easterly Parsons, 91, a native of Warchula, FL and a resident of Bourg, LA died Sunday, May 30, 2010 at 9:11 PM. Visitation will be Thursday, June 3, 2010 from 5:00PM to 9:00PM Chauvin Funeral Home, Inc.and Friday, June 4, 2010 from 8:30AM to service time at Temple of Praise. Funeral service will be Friday, June 4, 2010 at 10:00AM at Temple of Praise with burial in St. Francis de Sales Cemetery #2. She is survived by her daughter, Iris Parsons Webre and husband Robert of Bourg, LA; and Cheryl Parsons Cormier and husband E.J. of Alvin TX; son, William Hugh Parsons and wife Yvonne of City of Central LA; brother, Jacob Easterly of Dothan AL; sister, Jessie Farabee of Punta Gorda FL; Eldora Walker of Brownswood TX; and Nada Thigpen of Ortona FL; 14 grandchildren, Dwayne and Karla Webre,Dana Webre, Damon and Mary Webre, Darla and Adam Leonard, Eddie and Annette Cormier,Jimi Cormier, Jada and Brad Langer, Steven and Anna Robichaux, Branham Bergeron, Doyle and Rebecca Parsons, Blaine and Jodi Parsons, Barbara and Garen Stanley, William Jr and Autumn Parsons Brian and Debbie Parsons; 25 great grandchildren; and 11 great great grandchildren. Preceded in death by her husband, Cecil Clifton Parsons; parents, Charles Jacob Easterly and Daisy Townsend Easterly; daughter, Sandra Parsons; son, Cecil Clifton Parsons Jr; brother, Eddie Easterly William Easterly, Robert Easterly, Tivis Easterly and Seldon Easterly; sisters, Lillian Hett, Mable Lane, Nell Miller and Juanita Williams. grand-daughter, Susan Robichaux. Her greatest joy was family, friends, gardening and flowers. She will be fondly remembered for a godly life, laughter, lemon pies, sock it to me cakes, pork roasts and greens. We would like to thank her care givers Tessie Percel, Joyce Brian, and Theresa Feriera and and to express our appreciation to the staff of Saint Joseph Hospice.
