Chad Michael Mazerac, 24, a native of Terrebonne Parish and resident of Gray, died at 9:41 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 23, 2006.
Visitation will be from 3 to 10 p.m. Tuesday and from 8 a.m. until funeral time Wednesday at Chauvin Funeral Home. Mass will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, with burial at the church cemetery.
He is survived by his mother, Elizabeth "Liz" Lessere Borne; his stepfather, John Borne Sr.; his father, Derald Mazerac; his stepmother, Donna Mazerac of Houma; his fiance, Tracy Thibodaux; one son, Payton Michael Joseph Mazerac of Gray; one brother, Kevin Mazerac and wife, Celeste Mazerac; three step-brothers Joshua Comeaux of Houma, Pete Borne of Raceland and John Borne Jr. of Mobile, Ala.; three step-sisters, Crystal Loga of Thibodaux, Tori Comeaux and Tiffany Artise of Houma; his paternal grandparents, Gerald and Betty Mazerac of Houma; godfather to, Kaitlyn Mazerac, Christian Mazerac, Kelsie Mazerac, Ethan Thibodaux and Mercedes Thibodaux; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Johnny and Virginia Lessere.
He was a parishioner of Holy Rosary Catholic Church. He was a crane mechanic for Southern Crane and Hydraulics.
