David Curtis

David "Curly" Lee Curtis, 57, a native of Jackson, Miss., died at 11 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 24, 2006. Visitation will be from 9 to funeral time Tuesday at Chauvin Funeral Home. Mass will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. He will be cremated. He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Rebecca Howington Curtis; one daughter, Lisa Curtis Sanders; three grandchildren, Mirykle Shelley Curtis, Ariella Rose Sanders and Alexianni Lei Sanders; one sister; and two brothers. He was preceded in death by his father, Allen Lamar Curtis; his mother, Rosie Vice Curtis; and one brother. He was a salesman for Midland Rick Insurance of Louisiana and Mississippi. He was past owner of Carlea’s Catfish Shack and Curly’s Lounge. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Peace, Memphis, TN 38105-1942 or Maria Immacolata Church Community Center Fund.
