Odette Josephine Lefort Pitre,

Odette Josephine Lefort Pitre, 77, a native of New Orleans and resident of Chauvin, died at 8:27 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 19, 2006. Visitation will be from 4 to 10 p.m. today and from 8 a.m. to funeral time Thursday at Chauvin Funeral Home. Mass will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home chapel, with burial in Magnolia Cemetery. She is survived by one daughter, Monica P. Babbitt and husband, Richard, of Chauvin; one brother, Paul Blaise Lefort of Jennings; and one sister, Velma L. Ellender of Houma. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Aaron Pitre; her parents, Alexis Lefort and Armonica Collins Lefort; four sons, Aaron Joseph Pitre, Wade Patrick Pitre, Glenn Michael Pitre and Christopher Pitre; one grandson, Nazareth Paul Singletary; one brother, Alexis Joseph Lefort; and three sisters, Azora L. Martin, Modest L. Richard and Della L. Clark. She was a retired manager with New Orleans Big Game Fishing Club. She was a parishioner of St. Joseph Catholic Church.
