Audrey Richoux Hebert, 72, a native of Golden Meadow, LA and a resident of Raceland, LA died Saturday, May 15, 2010 at 7:30 AM.
Visitation will be Monday, May 17, 2010 from 11:30 a.m. until service time at Chauvin Funeral Home, Inc.
Funeral service will be Monday, May 17, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. at Chauvin Funeral Home, Inc. with burial at St. Francis de Sales Cemetery #2.
She was loved and survived by her
sister, Terry Richoux Coupel;
brother in law, Michael J. Coupel;
godchildren, Nicole Coupel Chaisson wife of Andre Chaisson, Emily Scott Gilmore wife of Murdock Gilmore and Michael T. Coupel and Fiance' Rachel Billiot;
great nieces, Destyni Chaisson, Brittani Chaisson and Hannah Coupel, and Bonnie Gilmore; and great nephew, Ross Gilmore.
She was loved by many former students, fellow teachers and Tigerettes and Houma Lions Club members.
She was preceded in death by her
parents, Tilden Richoux and Gertrude Eschete Richoux and Dalmas and Judith Guillot Eschete.
She recieved her Bachelor's degree in Physical Education and History and a Master's degree in Administration from Nicholls State University.
She taught at Terrebonne High School for 30 years and was the Tigerette sponsor. She was an inspiration to many people.
She was a former parishioner of Annunziata Catholic Church and member of Holy Savior Catholic Church.
She was a member and former president of the Houma Lions Club and was a recipient of the Melvin Jones Award.
She volunteered at Maison de'Ville nursing home.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Terrebonne High School and the Houma Lions Club in her name.
