Samuel Gaither, Jr, 59, a native of Dularge, LA and a resident of Gray, LA died Friday, May 7, 2010. Visitation will be on Saturday, May 15, 2010 from 9:00 AM until Service time at Chauvin Funeral Home, Inc. Services will be on Saturday, May 15, 2010 at 11:00 AM at Chauvin Funeral Home, Inc. with burial at St. Luke Baptist Church Cemetery. He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Brenda Ann Welch Gaither; sons, Samuel Gaither, III and wife LaShawn Garner Gaither and Steven Ranel Gaither, Sr. and wife Kiva Wilson Gaither; grandchildren, Jade Renee' Gaither, Steven Ranel Gaither, Jr; Samaria Nydrae' Gaither, Kadia Nyaire' Gaither, Cameron DeVore Gaither and brothers, James Gaither, Charles Gaither, Bruce Gaither; sisters, Raymond (Brenda) Wolfe, Eva M. Gaither, Patricia G. Cheavis, and Roslyn Gaither. He is preceded in death by his parents, Samuel Gaither, Sr and Dorothy Rosemary Henry Gaither; grandparents, Clarence and Clara C. Henry and Cleveland and Eva B. Gaither; brothers, Hayward Gaither, Augusta Gaither, Anthony Gaither. Fat worked for Gulf Island for 22 years. He was a member of River Parish Motorcycle Club.
