Emelda Doiron Hebert a native and resident of Houma died at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday, April 27, 2010.
Visitation will be Wednesday April 28, 2010 from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Chauvin Funeral Home and Thursday April 29, 2010 from 9:00 a.m. until service time at St. Francis de Sales Cathedral.
Funeral mass will be 11:00 a.m.at St. Francis de Sales Cathedral with burial in St. Francis de Sales Cemetery No. 2.
She is survived by her husband Curtis Hebert, Sr.; son, Richard Hebert of Houma;three daughters, Susan and husband John Woollen of Lafayette; Robin Hebert and companion Billy Guidry of Houma, and Christy and husband Terry Peltier of Thibodaux; three sisters, Marie Claire Bergeron, Carolyn and husband James Garrett, Sr., of Houma, and Beulah Ann and husband Jim Parr of New Iberia.
12 Grandchildren, Alison and husband Tim Howard, Kellie and husband Brian Kerstetter of Lafayette, Mindi and husband Chad McElroy, Crystal, Derick and Kasie Hebert, Jennifer, Megan, and Alexis Naquin of Houma, Paige and Holly Peltier of Thibodaux and Jessica and husband Matt Baca of Denver, Co., 2 step-grandchildren, Daniel and Laura Woollen; 3 great grandchildren, Samantha and Matthew Baca, Jr., of Denver, Co; and Taylor McElroy of Houma, LA
She was preceded in death by her parents, Gustave Doiron Jr., and Beulah Duplantis Doiron, and son, Curtis “Bubba” Hebert, Jr.
She was a member of the Krewe of Flames as a maid and queen and member of The Stinkers of Houma. Her hobbies were sewing, camping, traveling and dancing.
She was a devoted wife, mother and friend to many. She will be greatly missed.
