Margaret Rebelle Bland, 70, a native of Port Allen, LA and a resident of Houma,LA died Tuesday, April 20, 2010.
Visitation will be Friday, April 23, 2010 from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Chauvin Funeral Home, Inc. and
Saturday, April 24, 2010 from 9:00 a.m. until service time at St. Bernadette Soubirous Catholic Church.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, April 24, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Bernadette Soubirous Catholic Church with burial at
St. Francis de Sales Cemetery #2.
She is survived by her husband, Larry Bland, Houma, LA; sons, Lance Bland, Houma, LA, Deron Bland and wife Leslie, Houma, LA; daughters, Laurel Henry and husband Joey, Houma, LA, Traci Daigle and husband Andre, Houma, LA; grandchildren, Samantha and Duncan Bland, Logan Bland, Ethan and Annelise Henry, MacKenzee and Tate Daigle; sisters, Jane Salter, Denham Springs, LA, Judy Nurenberg and husband Tommy, Albuquerque, NM.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jules L. Rebelle and Rita Stokes Rebelle; brother, Jules Rebelle, III.
She was a retired Teacher's Aide for the Terrebonne Parish School Board.
She was a parishioner of St. Bernadette Soubirous Catholic Church where she volunteered as a catechism teacher. She also volunteered for Hospice of South Louisiana, Journey Hospice of the Shores and the Terrebonne Parish foodbank.
She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister and will be missed by all.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to South Louisiana, Journey Hospice of the Shores.
