Bryan Charles Belanger, 60, began his journey to Heaven on the evening of Wednesday April 14, 2010. Bryan was a native and resident of Houma, Louisiana. Relatives and Friends are invited to attend a visitation service at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, April 17, 2010 until service time. The service time will be at 12:00 p.m. Saturday, April 17, 2010 to be held at Chauvin Funeral Home in Houma. Bryan is the beloved husband of Cheryl Chauvin Belanger for 41 years, father of Chief Petty Officer Bryan Charles Belanger, Jr., and wife Mary Brewton Belanger, grandfather of Brayden Lloyd and Sydney Grace Belanger, son of Raymond and Vivian Levron Belanger, brother of Clark Belanger, and wife Sandra, Doyle Belanger, and wife Debra, Debra Domangue, and husband Byron, Deidre (Dee Dee) Hemstreet and husband David, along with many aunts, uncles, cousins, sister in laws, brother in laws and friends - all of whom he treasured dearly. He also cherished his dogs Dixie Belle and Bella Belle. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Adonist and Virginia Belanger Belanger, his maternal grandparents Augustin and Niase Dupre Levron, and his nephew Brent Belanger. In his final days, Bryan was surrounded by family, friends, and the caring and loving staff in the Critical Care Unit at Terrebonne General Medical Center. Bryan was employed by Universal Iron Works in the Fabrication Department for Unico Metal Buildings. He was an entrepreneur at heart, having owned and operated two companies, Coastal Provision Company, which was an offshore service company and Not Just Po-Boys, where he served his specialty the "Cajun Mutzie. He was a U.S. Army Veteran. He was a devoted father and loved being a grandfather to Brayden and Sydney. He had a passion for living life fully through his love for fishing, camping and spending time with his many friends. He will be forever missed. ?
