Alvin Cuneo

Alvin J. Cuneo, 91, a native of Chauvin and resident of Houma, died at 3:50 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 29, 2006. Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Chauvin Funeral Home and from 8 a.m. to funeral time Friday at St. Bernadette Catholic Church. Mass will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the church, with burial in St. Francis de Sales Cemetery No. 2. He is survived by one son, Aswell "A.J." Cuneo and wife, Barbara; six grandchildren, Brett Cuneo, Darren Cuneo, Tina Moore, Anissa Crane, Jason Cuneo and Amy Saucier; and 10 great-grandchildren, Jade Cuneo, Connor Cuneo, Hannah Cuneo, Noah Cuneo, Nicholls Moore, Rebecca Moore, Justin Crane, Madison Crane, Clarissa Hickman and Cameron Ruthledge. He was preceded in death by his wife, Allie LeBoeuf Cuneo; his parents, Joseph Cuneo and Catherine Guise Cuneo; two sons, Norman J. Cuneo and Byron Cuneo; four brothers, Herbert, Irvin, Lawrence and Raymond Cuneo; and six sisters, Lorena LeBouef, Rita Champagne, Ophelia Lirette, Beatrice Theriot, Florence Dugas and Williana Foret. He was retired with Texaco and a parishioner of St. Bernadette Catholic Church. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to St. Bernadette Catholic School
