Hilda Cenac Bergeron, 91, a native of Chauvin, LA and a resident of Houma, LA died Tuesday, April 13, 2010 at 3:38 PM.
Visitation will be Thursday, April 15, 2010 from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM First United Methodist Church
Friday, April 16, 2010 from 7:00 AM until Funeral Service at First United Methodist Church.
Funeral Service will be held on Friday, April 16, 2010 at 10:00 AM at First United Methodist Church
with burial at Terrebonne Memorial Park.
She is survived by her daughter, Marlene Bergeron-Klaus and husband Dr.Kenneth Klaus of Thibodaux;
son, Eulen "E.J." Bergeron, Jr. and wife Beryl Boudreaux Bergeron of Houma ; grandchildren, Stephanie Bergeron Campbell and husband Tim of Baton Rouge, Shea Bergeron Kennedy of Houma; great grandchild, Evan Joseph Kennedy;
step grandchildren, Brenda Corrigan and husband Danny of The Woodlands, Tx; Christopher F. Klaus and wife Keri of Huntsville, AL; Michael C. Klaus and wife Rachel of Thibodaux; and Rachel Elizabeth Klaus of Thibodaux;
step great grandchildren, Brittany N. Naples, Danielle Corrigan and Kaitlen Corrigan, Carsen Klaus and Erin Klaus ; and sister, Beulah Zeringue .
She is preceded in death by her
husband, Eulen "Butch" Bergeron,
Sr.; parents, Pierre Cenac and Eva Luke Cenac; brothers, Pierre, Martin and Norman Cenac; sisters, Josephine Belanger, Esia Labat and Helen Boudreaux.
She was a member of First United Methodist Church of Houma.
She was a member of First United Methodist Church for over 50 years and a member of the United Methodist Women. Hilda was the youth choir mom for many years. She was also a member of the American Legion Auxilliary and a long time member of AARP. Hilda was a retired Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). SHe worked for many years at Ellender Hospital of Houma and for Dr. Roy St. Martin.
