Edrith Labit Toups, 96, a native of Bayou Blue, LA and resident of Houma, LA died Sunday, March 28, 2010 at 4:55 AM. Visitation will be Tuesday, March 30, 2010 from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Chauvin Funeral Home, Inc. and Wednesday, March 31, 2010 from 8:00 a.m. until service time at St. Louis Catholic Church. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday, March 31, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Louis Catholic Church and burial in the church cemetery. She is survived by her son, Raymond Toups, grandchildren, Randall Toups, Vicki T. Picou, Angela Beaudry, Pamela Toups, Bonnie Knobloch, Kerry Toups; 8 Great Grandchildren; 4 Step Great Grandchildren; 2 Great Great Grandchildren; and sisters, Dolores Deroche, Bernice Pontiff. She is preceded in death by her husband, Lovancie Toups; parents, Francois Labit and Mertilia Babin Labit; son, Edward Toups; 1 daughter, Baby Toups; 1 great granddaughter, Nicole Picou; sisters, Mildred Labit, Dorothy Champagne and brother, Magnus Labit. She was a nurse's aide for Terrebonne General Medical Center. and a parishioner of St. Louis Catholic Church.
