Mary Wallis Goodroe, 97, a native and resident of Houma, LA died Thursday, March 25, 2010 at 7:35 AM. Visitation will be Friday, March 26, 2010 from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Chauvin Funeral Home, Inc. Saturday, March 27, 2010 from 8:00 a.m. until service time at Chauvin Funeral Home, Inc. Funeral Services will be Saturday, March 27, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. Location: Chauvin Funeral Home, Inc. with burial in Terrebonne Memorial Park. She is survived by her son,Haywood John Goodroe; daughters, Carmen Goodroe Bennett, Reginald "Duggie" Goodroe Hoagland, and Margaret "Maggie" Goodroe Mozesky 23 grandchildren, 46 great grandchildren and 29 great great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband,Richard Cecil Goodroe; parents, Ellerslie L. Wallis and Marie Clement Wallis; son, Richard Cecil Goodroe, Jr.; brother, Reginald Wallis; sister, Audrey Wallis Hensley; grandchild, Joaquin Bennett and great grandchild, Ashley Costello. She was a homemaker and artist. She volunteered at Leonard J. Chabert Memorial Hospital. She was a parishioner of Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church.
