Hilda Detiveaux

Hilda Chauvin Detiveaux, 86, a native of Chauvin, LA and a resident of Houma, LA died Thursday, March 25, 2010 at 3:45 AM. Visitation will be Saturday, March 27, 2010 from 10:30 a.m. until service time at St. Joseph Catholic Church. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, March 27, 2010 at 12:00 noon. at St. Joseph Catholic Church with burial at St. Joseph Catholic Church Cemetery. She is survived by her sons, Carl Detiveaux, Mark Detiveaux, Lynn Detiveaux, and Lawrence Detiveaux; daughter, Marla Stark; Grandchildren, 13; Great Grandchildren, 6; Great Great Grandchildren, 2; brother, Leroy Chauvin and sister, Mildred "Cully" Hendry. She is preceded in death by her husband, Francis Detiveaux, Sr.; son, Francis "Frank" Detiveaux, Jr.; daughter, Sandra Detiveaux; parents, Lawrence Chauvin and Vivian Pellegrin Chauvin and brother, L.J. Chauvin, Jr. She was a reading specialist at LaCache School. Her life was dedicated to those she taught.
