Josephine Stringer

Josephine Valure Stringer, 87, a native and resident of Houma, LA died Friday, March 19, 2010. Visitation will be Monday, March 22, 2010 from 8:30 a.m. until service time at St. Gregory Barbarigo Catholic Church. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday, March 22, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Gregory Barbarigo Catholic Church, with burial in St. Elie Cemetery. She is survived by her daughters, Gerianne Schexnayder and husband Steven, Houma, LA and Nancy Duplantis and husband Ronnie, Houma, LA; son, Willard John Stringer, Jr. and wife Audrey of Franklinton, LA; grandchildren, Rhonda Duplantis Baxter, Susan Duplantis, Bryan Duplantis, John Paul Stringer, Rebekah Stringer, Clinton Schexnayder, Samantha Schexnayder, Matthew Schexnayder; great grandchildren: Jacob Baxter, Kyle Baxter, Matthew Baxter, Jacob Duplantis, Claire Saia and sisters, Mary Bergeron, Antionette Lirette, Frances Belanger. She is preceded in death by her husband, Willard John Stringer, Sr.;son,Anthony Stringer; parents Antonio Valure and Nunzia  Bongiovanni Valure; grandchild, David Duplantis and grandson in law, Richard Baxter. She was a Homemaker and a parishioner of St. Gregory Barbarigo Catholic Church.
