Vera Levron DeHarte, 60, a native and resident of Houma, LA died Wednesday, March 17, 2010 at 7:31 PM. Visitation will be on Friday, March 19, 2010 from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Chauvin Funeral Home, Inc. and on Saturday, March 20, 2010 from 9:00 a.m. until service time at St. Louis Catholic Church. A Mass of Christian Burial will be on Saturday, March 20, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Louis Catholic Church, with burial in the church cemetery. She is survived by her husband, Claude "Dave" DeHarte; son, Justin DeHarte of Bayou Blue; daughter, Christina DeHarte and companion Kevin Bergeron of Bayou Blue; mother, Verna Boudreaux Levron; grandchildren, Ty, Christie, Bradly, Taylor, Seth, Trey; brothers, Victor "Jay" Levron, Sr. and companion Rena Price of Bayou Blue, Eugene Levron and companion Earline Cortez of Kramer, Alex Levron and wife Lisa of Bayou Blue; sisters, Betty Freeman and husband Herb of Gaines, Rita Robinson and husband Willis "Billy" of Schriever, and Tina Griffin and husband Rudy of Chauvin. She is preceded in death by her father, Franklin Levron, Sr.; brothers, Franklin Levron, Jr. and Dean Levron; grandparents, Victor and Franklina Levron and Alex and Amy Boudreaux ; father and mother-in-law, Jervis and Louise DeHarte. She was a bus driver for the Terrebonne Parish School Board for 10 years. She was a parishioner of St. Louis Catholic Church. She was the former Vice President of the Terrebonne Parish Bus Driver's Association. She enjoyed traveling in their motor home with her husband.
