Modesta Lapeyrouse

Modesta Stoufflet Lapeyrouse, 92, a native of Chauvin, LA and a resident of Houma, LA died Wednesday, March 17, 2010 at 2:42 PM. Visitation will be Monday, March 22, 2010 from 9:00 AM until service time at Chauvin Funeral Home, Inc.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held  Monday, March 22, 2010 at 11:00 AM at Chauvin Funeral Home, Inc., with burial at St. Louis Catholic Church Cemetery.  She is survived by  her son ,Paul Antoine Lapeyrouse and wife Linda;daughter, Paulette Allred and husband Chuck and daughter in law, Jo Ann Lapeyrouse; 11 Grand children and numerous great and great great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, Oleus Stoufflet and Adele Duplantis Stoufflet; son, O.J. Lapeyrouse; sisters, Ethel Bear, Yvonne Eaves, Maisie Hebert, Elphia Authement and Ollie Carver andbrother, Clifton Stoufflet. She was a parishioner of St. Louis Catholic Church.She was a member of the St. Louis Ladies Altar Society. She enjoyed quilting, knitting and baking.In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Louis Infant Center.
