Russell Joseph Breaux, 86, a native of Bourg, LA, and a resident of Houma, LA died Saturday, March 13, 2010. Visitation will be Thursday, March 16, 2010 from 9:00AM until service time at St. Hilary of Poitiers Catholic Church. Funeral mass will be at 11:00 AM at St. Hilary of Poitiers Catholic Church with burial in the church cemetery. He is survived by his wife, Helen LeCompte Breaux of Houma LA; sons,Todd Joseph Breaux and Wife Nancy of Thibodaux LA; daughters, Cindy Vicknair and husband Vernon of Schriever LA; step son, Rick Melancon and wife Cindy of Katy TX; step daughters, Jane Richards of Houma LA and Peggy Case of Houma LA; brother, Lester Breaux and wife Betty of Houma LA; sisters, Rita Malbrough of Houma LA; Edrith Boudreaux of Houma LA; and Laura Lee Duet and husband Paul of Houma LA; grandchildren, Dawn Vicknair of Weatherford TX Myles Vicknair and wife Lisa of Houma LA,T.J. Breaux of Thibodaux LA and Kayla Breaux of Thibodaux LA; great grandchildren, Molly and Alexis Vicknair of Houma LA and Bronson Savoie of Thibodaux LA; step grandchildren,Caroline Richards of Rochester NY; Aimee Glynn and husband Heath of Houma LA; David Richards of Houma LA; Claude, Christian, and Caitlyn Case of Houma LA; Michelle Breaux and husband Jared of Praireville LA and Christopher Melancon and wife Trisha of Houma LA; step great-grandchildren,Gabrielle Richards of Rochester NY; Lilliana Breaux of Praireville LA and Madelyn Melancon of Houma LA. He is preceded in death by his parents,Arthe H Breaux and Lenoise Scott Breaux and first wife Ada Grabert Breaux; brothers, Gilmore Breaux and Reynold Breaux; sister, Mary Eve Bascle. He was a parishioner of St. Gregory Barbarigo Catholic Church. Member of VFW and volunteered for many VFW events. He also past Commander of Freddie John Falgout Post in Raceland LA.
