Gene Michael Andre', 62, a native of New Orleans, Louisiana and a resident of Houma, Louisiana died Thursday, February 25, 2010 at 7:00 PM. Visitation will be Sunday, February 28, 2010 from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM Chauvin Funeral Home, Inc. and Monday, March 1, 2010 from 9:00 AM until Funeral Mass at St. Bernadette Soubirous Catholic Church. A Mass of Christian Burial will be on Monday, March 1, 2010 at 11:00 AM at St. Bernadette Soubirous Catholic Church with burial in St. Francis de Sales Cemetery #2. He is survied by his wife,Diana Bordelon Plaisance Andre'; son, Lee Andre' and wife Liz Gueniot Andre'; daughter, Dr. Michelle M. Andre'; step sons, Peter Plaisance and Tim Plaisance and step daughter, Susan P. Eschete and husband Ted; grandchildren, Landon and Lauren Andre' , Elizabeth and Allen Eschete, Maria Smith; brothers, Gerald Andre' and wife Barbara, Arthur Andre', III, and Chris Andre'; sister, Jeanine Simoneaux and husband Rodney and he is also survived by a large extended family. He is preceded in death by his first wife, Mary Myrle Hamner Andre'; parents, Arthur Andre' , Jr and Jeanne Boudreaux Andre'. He is a parishioner of St. Bernadette Soubirous Catholic Church. Gene was a graduate of Nicholls State University. He was on the Finance Council, RCIA, the choir and numerous planning committees at St. Bernadette Catholic Church. He was employed by NAPA Auto Parts for 40 years and Sherwin Williams Auto Paints for the last 4 years.
