Lawrence Anthoney Mazerac, Jr., 84, a native and resident of Houma, Louisiana, died Tuesday, February 23, 2010 at 8:35 AM.
Visitation will be Thursday, February 25, 2010 from 4:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Chauvin Funeral Home, Inc. and Friday, February 26, 2010 from 9:00 a.m. until service time at St. Ann Catholic Church.
A Mass of Chrisitan Burial will be on Friday, February 26, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Ann Catholic Church with burial in St. Francis de Sales Cemetery #2.
He is survived by his wife,Eula Dubois Mazerac; son, Michael A. Mazerac and wife Juanita C. Mazerac; daughters, Marla Mazerac Blackwell and husband Larry Blackwell, Linda Mazerac Brunet, Peggy Mazerac; sister, Rose Ann Mazerac Abadie and husband Clifford Abadie; brothers, Wilfred Mazerac and wife Arsenia, Lindsey Mazerac, Sr. and wife Bernice, Gerald Mazerac and wife Betty;
12 grandchildren and 19
great grandchildren and
two sister in laws, Juanita Mazerac and Rosie Lepine Mazerac.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence Mazerac, Sr. and Cable Marcel Mazerac; brothers, Wilson Mazerac and Francis Mazerac, Sr.; sisters, Rose Mary Mazerac and Rita Mae Mazerac Lepine; brother in law, Joseph Lepine, Sr.
He was the founder of Main Iron Works.
He was a parishioner of St. Ann Catholic Church.
He was served in the United States Marine Corps during World War II.
He was an active memeber in the Veterans of Foreign War and a donor to the National D-Day Museum.
