Name: Thelma Marie Price Eschete, 89,a native and resident of Houma, LA died on Friday, January 15, 2010 at 5:00 a.m. with her family by her side. Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 16, 2010 from 9:00 a.m. until service time at St. Gregory Barbarigo Catholic Church. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, January 16, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Gregory Barbarigo Catholic Church with burial in St. Francis de Sales No. 2. She is survived by sons, Earl F. Eschete, Jr., and John E. Eschete and wife Chris; daughter, Sydney Eschete Knight and husband Rodney; step-son, Kimple Verret; stepdaughters, Eleanor Lovell and Maida Verret; grandchildren, Kate Knight, Dawn Roberts, Toni Desormeaux, Casey Desormeaux, , Jesikah Verret, Miranda Verret, Kimberly Verret, Shannon Blanchard, Sian Guidry and William Bowman; 10 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren 2 brothers, Claude Price and Ernest Price, Jr. and sister, Edelia Boudreaux. She is preceded in death by her first husband, Earl F. Eschete, Sr. her second husband, Julius Verret, Jr.; parents, Ernest and Adele LeCompte Price, Sr. and brothers, Clarence Price and Allen Price. She was a parishioner of St. Gregory Barbarigo Catholic Church. She was the owner of Eschete’s Seafood and the author of the Eschete’s Seafood Cookbook.
