Alta Brown

Alta Pauline Gant Brown, 86, a native of Republic, Kansas and a resident of Houma, Louisiana died Monday, January 4, 2010 at 6:00 am.Visitaiton will be held on Thursday, January 7, 2009 from 9:00 a.m. until service time at Bayou Blue United Methodist Church.  Funeral service will be held at the church at 11:00 a.m. wioth burial in Rogers Cemetery.She is survived by her husband, Allen Tyron, Brown, her sons, Douglas E. Brown and wife Barbara, of Arvada, Colorado; and William A. Brown and wife Earlene, of Drexel, Missouri, her daughters, MrsSandra Pitre and the late Michael Pitre, of Houma, Louisiana; Susan Fox ,of Kansas City, Missouri; Carolyn Trimble, of Kansas City, Missouri and Mrs. Debroah Buchenau and husband Butch, of Abilene, Kansas, herbrother, George Franklin Gant and wife Gerry, of Pincole, California; and13 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.She is preceded in death by her parents, John Harvey Gant and Freda Olive Trimmer Gant, brothers, Ivol Eugene Grant and Harold John Gant.
