Paul "J.P." Joseph Le Compte, 87, a native and resident of Houma, LA died Tuesday, December 29, 2009. Visitation will be on Thursday, December 31, 2009 from 8:00 a.m. until service time at Chauvin Funeral Home, Inc. Services will be held on Thursday, December 31, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at Chauvin Funeral Home, Inc. with burial at St. Francis de Sales Cemetery #2. He is survived by his wife, Lita Rita Hebert Le Compte; sons, Stephen Le Compte and wife Patsy of Houma, LA, Dennis Le Compte and wife Sarah of Houma; daughters, Evelyn Autin and husband Oley "Tubby" of Houma, Meridy Liner and husband Randy of Houma, Nettie Prejean and husband David of Schriever; brother, Phillip Le Compte; sister, Kate Graham; 12 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, Paul Ernest Le Compte and Nettie Bergeron Le Compte; son, Paul Le Compte; brothers, Bennie Le Compte, Bobby Le Compte, Roy Le Compte; sisters, Norma Robichaux, Jeannette Domangue, Alice Sonier and great grandson, Scottie Prejean. He was a retired carpenter. He was Catholic and a parishioner of St. Gregory Barbarigo Catholic Church . He enjoyed carving and was an avid hunter and fisherman.
