Paul Gaines

Paul Edmund Gaines, 50, a native of Anniston, AL and a resident of Raceland, LA died on Tuesday, December 22, 2009. Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 26, 2009 from 9:00 AM until Service time Saturday, December 26, 2009 from 1:00 PM at Chauvin Funeral Home, Inc. He is survived by, wife, Connie Dupre Gaines of Gray, Louisiana Parents: Jack Roscoe Gaines and Oma "Bootsie" Hill Gaines of Fort Payne, Alabama; step-daughter, Renee Rochel Sister: Karen Muse and husband Daniel of Atlanta, Georgia; nephews, Dax, Dustin, and Drew Muse of Atlanta, Georgia. He is preceded in death by, mother-in-law, Patsy Brunet Bourg of Gray; paternal grandparents, Henry Savage Gaines and Lillie Gaines of Anniston, Alabama. Paul loved traveling, adventure, flying, riding his dream motorcycle, and sailing his sailboat the Creole Angel. He was a member of the Krewe of Endymion in New Orleans. He was a very generous and compassionate man whose greatest fulfillment was helping others. He was a loving husband, step-father, son, brother, and uncle to his many nieces and nephews that he loved very much. He deeply enjoyed spending time at home with his wife, step-daughter, and many pets. His final request is to, "Cast my ashes in blue waters." He will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
