Allen Guidry

Allen Joseph Guidry, Sr., 64, a native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Houma, LA died on Tuesday, October 20, 2009. Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 22, 2009 from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Chauvin Funeral Home and on Friday, October 23, 2009 from 9:00 am until service time at First Baptist Church, Houma, LA. Services will be held on Friday, October 23, 2009 at 11:00 a.m.at First Baptist Church, Houma, LA with burial, Holy Rosary Cemetery, Houma, LA. He is survived by his wife Elaine Prosperie Guidry; sons, Allen “Dudie” Guidry, Jr. and wife Sharon of Houma, LA Brent Guidry and wife Margaret of Fairhope, AL Cory Guidry and wife Nicole of Houma, LA; brother, Eulin Guidry of Bourg, LA sister, Laura Mae “Tokay” Guidry Carrere of Dulac, LA; grandchildren, Brandon, Christina and Emily Guidry abd great-grandchildren, Tyler and Miley Guidry. He is preceded in death by his parents, Odon Guidry and Ophelia Liner Guidry; brothers, Olden “Doc” Guidry, Peter “Bull” Guidry, Golden “Coon” Guidry and Odon “Min” Guidry; sisters, Florence “NuKay” Guidry LeBoeuf and Eula Mae Guidry Brignac and Marie Guidry Matherne. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Houma, East Houma Lions Club and a Member of the Fraternal Order of Police. He was a Sergeant in Corrections with the Terrebonne Parish Sheriff’s Office.
