Arcen Marcel

Arcen Paul Marcel, 88, a native of Terrebonne Parish, LA and a resident of Houma, LA died on Tuesday, October 6, 2009. Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 8, 2009 from 6:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. Chauvin Funeral Home, Inc.and on Friday, October 9, 2009 from 8:30 a.m. until service time at St. Bernadette Soubirous Catholic Church. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, October 9, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Bernadette Soubirous Catholic Church with burial in St. Francis de Sales Cemetery #2. He is survived by his daughters, Bonnie Adams, Della "Dee" Dupre and husband Michael Dupre; sons, Rodney Marcel and wife Valarie Marcel, Arcen "John" Marcel and wife Darlene; 13 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and brother, Cyrus Marcel. He was preceded in death by his wife, Hilma Marcel; parents, Usualian Marcel and Pearl Eschete Marcel; daughter, Kathleen "Chuck" Toups; son, Kevin Joseph Marcel; grandson, Arcen Michael Marcel; five brothers, 2 sisters and son in law, Clabert Adams. He was an employee for McDermott for 27 years. He was Catholic and a parishioner of St. Bernadette Soubirous Catholic Church. He was an Army World War II veteran. He like to fish and enjoyed life.
