Joseph Albert Lodrigue, Sr. 63, a native of Terrebonne Parish, LA and a resident of Houma, LA died on Saturday, August 15, 2009 at 6:20 a.m. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 19, 2009 from 4:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. Chauvin Funeral Home, Inc and on Thursday, August 20, 2009 from 8:00 a.m. until service time at Chauvin Funeral Home, Inc. Services will be held on Thursday, August 20, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. at Chauvin Funeral Home, Inc. with burial in Grace Christian Memorial Gardens. he is survived by his wife, Margie Roberts Lodrigue, Houma, LA;sons, Joseph A. Lodrigue, Jr., and wife Nicole of Houma, LA; daughters, Maria Solet and husband Terry of Houma, LA; Schletta Richard and husband T.J. of Houma, LA and Shemika Gonzalez and husband Daniel of Jacksonville, FL; brothers, Anthony Lodrigue of Houma, LA; Pierre Lodrigue of Houma,LA and Morris Lodrigue of Gramercy, LA; Howard Lodrigue of Houma,LA and Sydney Lodrigue of Ohio; sisters, Barbara Pellegrin, Margie Lodrigue, Viola Weeks, Pyllis Lodrigue, Mary Kennedy, Annette Hancock, Lena Calloway, Margaret Jears, Rose LeBouef, Brenda Verrett, Linda Lodrigue and Joann Verlin all of Houma, LA; grandchildren, Adam "Teet" Solet, Colon Solet, Kailyn, Kelsey and Karah Lodrigue, Daniel and Adrain Gonzalez; great-grandchildren, Lawson, Lathyn and Damien; companion, Melissa LeBouef of Houma, LA and step-son T.J. LeBouef of Houma, LA He is preceded in death by his parents, Antoine Lodrigue and Florestine Gregoire Lodrigue brothers, Phillip Lodrigue and Lynwood Lodrigue; sisters, Ida Lodrigue He was the owner of J & M Grocery. He was Catholic and a parishioner of Holy Family Catholic Church. He was a member of the Grand Caillou Volunteer Fire Department and a member of the United Houma Nation.
