Doris Kosior, 89, a native of Lafayette, LA and a resident of Houma,LA died Thursday, August 6, 2009 at 12:20 PM. Visitation will be held on Monday, August 10, 2009 from 8:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. at Chauvin Funeral Home, Inc. Religous Services will be held on Monday, August 10, 2009 at 10:30 a.m. at Chauvin Funeral Home, Inc. with a 1:30 p.m. graveside service at St. John Catholic Cemetery, Lafayette, LA. She is survived by her sons, Bernie Kosior and Ricky Kosior both of Houma, LA; daughter, Mary K. Cherry and husband Charles A. Cherry of Houma, LA; daughter-in-law, Jan M. Kosior of Pennsville, New Jersey; sister-in-law, Lillian B. Meaux of Lafayette, LA; granddaughters, Dawn Kosior Armstrong and husband Douglas Armstrong, Katherine A. Cherry; grandsons, Sam Cherry, Mark Kosior, Jesse Kosior; great-grandsons, Emerson Armstrong and Evan Armstrong. She is preceded in death by her parents, Edward Meaux and Ida Girouard Meaux; son, Paul J. Kosior Brothers: Edward M. Meaux and Richard C. Meaux. She was a homemaker. She was a member of Truth Baptist Church, Gray, LA In Lieu of flowers donations can be made to the American Heart Association.
