Aubrey Guidry

Aubrey Joseph Guidry, 81, died Tuesday, December 6, 2016 at 6:35 AM.  He was a native of Arnaudville and a resident of Chauvin, LA. Visitation will be held on Friday, December 9, 2016 from 10:30 AM until funeral time at St. Joseph Catholic Church with a Mass of Christian Burial at 12:30 PM.  Burial will be held in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Mary Jane LeCompte Guidry; sons, Cyrus J. Guidry and wife, Mary Alice, and Byron J. Guidry and wife, Stephanie; daughter, Tracy G. Cormier and husband, Louie; brother, Cecil Guidry Sr. and wife, Priscilla;                     sisters, Rose G. Adams and Evelyn G. Scrantz; brother-in-law, Wilson Portier Jr. and wife, Debbie; grandchildren, Ryan Gaudet, Brad, Brett, Jonathan and Alaina Guidry, and Trent Cormier; great-grandchildren, Liam Gaudet and Eleanor Guidry.                 ; He is preceded in death by his parents, Lucien and Adea Duplechin Guidry; son, Kerry Guidry; sisters, Loretta G. Quebedeaux and husband, Nelson, and Valentine G. Olivier and husband, Leonce; brother-in-laws, Henry Adams Sr., Earl Robin, Emery Scrantz and Milfred Chauvin; sister-in-law, Joyce Chauvin. He was a parishioner of St. Joseph Catholic Church. He was co-founder and former owner of LL&G Construction.  He enjoyed spending time outdoors, cooking, sports, spending time with family and friend.
