Dorothy Blanchard

Dorothy Marie Dupre Blanchard, 82, died Friday, October 7, 2016 at 11:55 AM. She was a native Pointe-Aux-Chenes and resident of Chauvin, Louisiana. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 12, 2016 from 9 AM until funeral time at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church with a Rosary at 10 AM and a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM. Burial will be held in St. Charles Borromeo Cemetery, Pointe-Aux-Chenes, LA She is survived by her brothers, Wilsey Dupre, Jr. and wife Betty, and Andy Dupre and wife, Maria; brother-in-law, Albert Lyons; sister-in-law, Anna Marie Dupre; numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roland Blanchard; parents, Wilsey Joseph  and Flossie Dupre; brother, Nolan Dupre; sister, Jeanette Lyons. She was a parishioner of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Chauvin, LA. She enjoyed reading, playing bingo and making puzzles. A special thanks to Barbara Bruce her caretaker and Haydel Hospice.
