Rudolph “Rudy” Joseph Carlos, 75, a native of Grand Caillou and resident of Houma, died at 3 p.m. Monday, June 1, 2009.
Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. today and from 8 a.m. to funeral time Thursday at Chauvin Funeral Home. Service will be 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with burial at Holy Rosary Cemetery.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Jeanette Jane Landry; three sons, Irvin Carlos of Dulac, Warren Carlos of Katy, Texas, and Eric Carlos of Grand Caillou; one daughter, Lori Fakier and husband, Larry of Houma; three brothers, James Carlos of Pervis, Miss., Royal Carlos of Houma, and Harold Carlos of Bayou Blue; one sister, Judy Rutledge of Katy; and eight grandchildren, Brian and David Carlos, Matthew, Kevin and Christopher Fakier, Garrett, Lauren and Erin Carlos.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James Carlos and Agalie Helen Lirette Carlos; four brothers, Peter, Ronald, Roland and Gary Carlos; and three sisters, Helen Hebert, Catherine Thibodaux and Gloria Carlos.
He was a parishioner of Holy Family Catholic Church and a manager of Houma Oil Treaters.
