Kathey Marie Lirette, 61, died Monday, June 13, 2016. She was a native of Houma, LA and resident of Houma, LA. Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 16, 2016 from 4:00pm to 9:00pm at Chauvin Funeral Home, Inc. and Friday, June 17, 2016 from 9:00am to service  at Chauvin Funeral Home, Inc. Funeral Service will be held on Friday, June 17, 2016 at 11:00am at Chauvin Funeral Home, Inc.. Burial: St. Francis de Sales Cemetery #2. She is survived by her, Loving husband of forty-six year, Gene Lirette; son, Cody Lirette and wife Jill; Daughter, Corie Lirette Jernigan and husband Joe; Sisters, Phillis Portier, Yvonne P. Guidry and husband Lawrence, and Mable P. Croker and late husband Jimmie and Grandchildren, Jobie Jernigan and Mia Lirette, Step-daughter, Britney Jernigan and two step-grandchildren, L.J. and Amyra. She was preceded in death by her, Parents:  Alvin Portier Sr and Ora Marie Bergeron Portier, Brothers, Alvin J. Portier Jr., Randy J. Portier;  Sisters, Bessie M. Portier, Lillian P. Charpentier, Margaret P. Derrick; She was a member of St. Gregory Barbarigo Catholic Church. Kathey loved spending time with her family and friends; whom she dearly loved.  She had a love of nature. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her; but never forgotten.  Chauvin Funeral Home is honored to serve the Lirette family.
