Joseph Autin, Sr.

Joseph Anthony "Pap-Pap-Joe" Autin, Sr., 85, a native of Lafourche Parish and a resident of Houma, Louisiana, died Friday, May 15, 2009 at 12:30 p.m. Visitation will be Sunday, May 17, 2009 from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Chauvin Funeral Home and on Monday, May 18, 2009 from 8:00 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. at Chauvin Funeral Home Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, May 18, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. at Holy Rosary Catholic Church with burial in the church cemetery. He is survived by his son, Michael Autin and wife Joyce of Bastrop, La.; daughters, Zelma Autin and Rosie Autin of Houma, La.; sister, Florance Domangue of Lockport, La.; brothers, Lovince Autin and Nelson Autin of Houma, La., 2 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild. He is preceded in death by his parents, Nelson Autin, Sr., and Rose Guidry; wife, Mildred T. Autin; son, Joseph Autin, Jr.; brother, Steven Autin; sisters, Sadie Lirette, Zelma Louviere and Vivian Smith. Mr. Autin was Catholic and a parishioner of Holy Rosary Catholic Church. Mr. Autin loved fishing, hunting and collecting frog statues.
