Mae Champagne

Mae Marie Champagne, 92, a native of Theriot and resident of Houma died Thursday, May 14, 2009. Visitation will be on Sunday, May 17, 2009 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Chauvin Funeral Home and on Monday, May 18, 2009 from 8:30 a.m. until service time at St. Francis de Sales Cathedral. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Monday, May 18, 2009 with burial at St. Eloi Cemetery, Theriot, Louisiana. She is survived by nieces, Becky Morgan of Madison, Mississippi, Bruce Champagne of Las Vegas, Nevada, Thomas Champagne & Kyle Champagne of Houma, Louisiana, several grand nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, Clay and Florence Champagne Champagne; brother, Raymond Champagne; sister, Gladys Cecile Champagne and niece, Juanita Champagne Frisella. She was Catholic and a parishioner of St. Francis de Sales Cathedral. She was a member of the Ladies Altar Society, and Catholic Daughters. She is a member of the retired Teacher's Association. She was valedictorian of Terrebonne High School in 1935. In lieu of flowers memorial masses are preferred.
