Mary Elizabeth Bergeron Breaux, 57, a native and resident of Houma died May 9, 2009 at 9:57 pm after a hard fought battle with cancer. Visitation is scheduled for Wednesday, May 13, 2009 from 9:00 a.m. to service time at St. Gregory Barbarigo Catholic Church Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, May 13, 2009 at 11:00 a.m.at: St. Gregory Barbarigo Catholic Church with burial in St. Francis No. 2. She is survived by, Husband, Perry Breaux, daughter, Rosie Kay and her husband Chance, grandchildren: Kayla, Dylan, Elizabeth and Joseph, Father and Stepmother, Oscar "Shine" and Rosalie Bergeron; brothers. Oscar "Joey" Bergeorn and wife Laura; Gerard "Jerry" Bergeron and wife Shanna; sisters, Paula Michel and husband Charles, Amy Bergeron Rock, Amanda Porter and husband Donald, Fay Theriot and husband Lanny, Jennifer Detiveaux and husband Kenny, Jill Theriot and husband Damian; step-sister: Karen Belanger; step-brothers, Allen and Mark Dumond; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Debra and Kenneth Walling, Guy and Gwen Breaux, Lance and Peggy Breaux and Kent Breaux, 11 nieces, 15 nephews, 8 great nieces and 6 great nephews. She was preceded in death by, mother, Rose Mary Haydel Bergeron; grandparents, Paul and Louise Haydel and Oscar and Lillian Bergeron; step-brother, Keith Dumond and brother-in-law: Eric Breaux. She is a parishioner of St. Gregory Barbarigo Catholic Church. She was a homemaker.
